3. Installation of New Gas Water Heater with Additional Plumbing Service of $200.00 (inclusive GST) for HDB new BTO only (including gas pipe and hot & cold water points). The hot & cold water pipe is extended from Gas Water Heater location in service yard to bathroom/service yard for showers.

4. Convert existing Electric Storage/Instantaneous Water Heater to Gas Water Heater for HDB only. For $660.00 (inclusive GST), your conversion package includes:
- Gas Pipe Installation: T-off from the existing kitchen gas pipe, to gas water heater located in the kitchen or service yard.
- Water Pipe Installation: Connects from gas water heater to both bathrooms.
- Electrical Works: Installation of a 13amp electrical point for the gas water heater and termination of existing electrical points (if required).
- Carpentry Adjustments: Installation of pipes through existing cabinetry (if required).
- Appliance Removal: Safe removal and disposal of your existing water heater.- Pipe Accommodation: Making openings to allow gas and water pipes to pass through.
- Finishing Touches: Patching up all holes for a clean finish.

Q: Can I conceal the Gas Water Heater in a cabinet?
A: Yes, you can choose to install the Gas Water Heater in a cabinet. The following shall serve as a general guide:

1. A minimum clearance of 150mm at both sides of the heater.
2. To facilitate combustion, the bottom of the enclosing compartment should not be covered or obstructed.
3. The door closing the compartment should be a fully louvered door with the minimum clearing distance of 100mm from the front panel of the heater to the louvered door.
4. The top of the enclosed compartment should have a minimum opening of 150mm for the installation of the exhaust flue pipe.

Q: Does the heat emitted from the Gas Water Heater heat up the house?
A: There is warm air discharged from the top of the heater like any gas appliance.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Gas Water Heater be installed near the window with proper ventilation.

Q: Who will install the Gas Water Heater, and where to install the Gas Water Heater?
A: City Energy will install the Life L10WFE & Macro MA10WFE/MA10WFE Gas Water Heater upon delivery. City Energy will also extend the gas pipe from the cooker point to the Gas Water Heater.

1. In HDB homes, gas water heater must be installed in the kitchen or the service yard for the following reasons:
   • To minimize obstruction or restriction to the exhaust flue air outlet from the gas water heater.
   • To minimise potential damage to property and/or injury to people.
2. A Licensed Gas Service Worker (LGSW) will be engaged to provide any hot/cold water pipe works and electrical power points that may be required for the installation of the Gas Water Heater.

Q: What is the recommended distance between the ceiling/beam and the installed Gas Water Heater?
A: The recommended distance is 30cm from the ceiling/beam.

Q: What is the warranty period?
A: Life and Macro Gas Water Heaters come with a one-year on-site warranty against the manufacturer's defects.

Q: Can I leave the power on all day?
A: It is possible to leave the power on all day.
Nevertheless, it is strongly recommended that you turn on the power only when you wish to use your gas water heater since it provides instant hot water from your water outlets.
Please also note that if you turn the mixer tap to the right for cold water, the gas water heater will not be activated.
